About the Wedgwood Estate

There are countless activities and things to do on the Eastshore of Kootenay Lake. However, the Wedgwood Estate is also worth exploring. This secluded 50-acre historic estate was originally constructed over 100 years ago by a retired British Naval Commander and his wife, Lucy Caroline Wedgwood, as their Kootenay retreat. Feel yourself unwind as you stroll wherever your curiosity leads you through the gardens and grounds or into the forest of magnificent Cedar trees. Self-guided walks lead to hidden delights., and view points overlooking Kokanee Glacier and a waterfall.
Sit and contemplate and feel your everyday worries slide away.
